TRISTANA BANKS, RAP, RIVALRY & MORE, the critically acclaimed new album from the hip hop icon and producer, has topped the Billboard 200 with more than 7 million sold copies sold.
The album’s first single, “Bad Girls,” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on March 19, marking Tristan Banks’ debut as a solo artist.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums(SEA).
Tristana’s debut album was produced by her husband, Jeezy, with her fellow rapper, Future, as well as production help from producer Jeeze.
The record’s charting hit was “Bad Girl,” featuring a collaboration with Jeezazy, which reached No.
“The album sold more than 50 million copies in its first week on sale.
The R&B star has already earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album, for her work with JEEZY and Future.
Tristan is one of the biggest artists in hip hop history.
She won a Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 2007 and won a Billboard Music Award in 2009 for Best Pop Duo Album.
She is also the founder of the Tristannas Run, an organization that supports youth in need in Compton, California.
The Tristans Run has also made appearances on the Disney Channel’s “Parks & Rec,” the ABC sitcom “Once Upon a Time” and the Nickelodeon series “Scrubs.”
